Lions Di Powell and PDG Sue Charles assisted at the Lions Club of Tokai’s first Wellness Day organised by Ikamva Labantu and the Enkuluekweni Community Centre in Khayalitsha on Wednesday, 28th February 2018. The Wellness Day was attended by 45 elderly residents of Khayelitsha.
Ten third year nursing students from the AZUSA Pacific Christian University in Lost Angeles tested for BMI, Height, Weight and random blood sugar and blood pressure checks whilst the two Jonga Trust Community workers did eye screening.
Lion Di took time to explain to the nursing students how the eye screening was done and PDG Sue conducted the administrative work.
The Lions Banner was prominently displayed.
Well done Tokai!
