Strengthen the Pride and come fly with me!
International President Joe Preston has challenged all members to strengthen the pride by the ‘Ask1’ campaign, I’m asking club leaders to grow their clubs by having each member invite at least one person to join their club and finish the year with one more than we started with. – let’s work together to grow our clubs and meet our Centennial Service Goals
Join the Centennial Service Challenge!
There’s never been a better time to serve than now! For nearly 100 years, Lions have served their communities and impacted millions of people around the world. To celebrate our 100th anniversary, we are asking Lions to help reach our Centennial Service Challenge goal of serving 100 million people by December 2017. Every club can play a part in reaching our goal, and your club can earn special Centennial recognition when you serve!
Engaging youth – organise projects that engage and mobilize youth while helping communities.
Share the vision – raise awareness about preventing vision loss or help those who live with blindness and visual impairment.
Relieve the hunger – organise projects that mobilize your club members to make a difference in your community, by helping those who don’t have enough to eat.
Protect the environment – forests provide a source of livelihood, protection from natural disasters and absorb carbon dioxide emissions that lead to global warming. Organize ‘hands on’ projects by planting trees, at creches, schools, old age facilities, parks and other public places.
Let’s work together to grow our clubs and meet our Centennial Service Goals.
